Uninstall Mystic Software - HELP

From time to time we get emails from users asking "How can I remove / uninstall MB Mystic software?" Generically speaking unistalling MB Mystic Software is very simple... and can be completed in a few seconds. But like all things, software and computer minor glitches do come up... We hope this will help iron out the glitches.

Here are the different ways to uninstall any of the MB Mystic Softwares (infact -- in most cases -- these steps should help you uninstall other softwares also)

    1. Unistall Option 1 - Recommended: Uninstall from the Program Menu
    2. Unistall Option 2: Unistall from the Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs
    3. Unistall Option 3: Kill And Stop The software from Running - From Task Bar and then Uninstall from the Program Menu
    4. Unistall Option 4 - Least recommended: Kill And Stop The software from Running - From Task Bar and the delete the software manually

From our experience we have come to a conclusion that uninstall procedure does not work properly and specially in case of softwares - ours or any other company's - when the software has a built in "RUN AT WINDOWS STARTUP" option. And sometimes it just might so happen that the software does not shut down properly and hence may be running in the System Tray or Task Manager

And because of the nature of the "RUN AT WINDOWS STARTUP" option built into Microsoft Windows Software it is has been seen that the software that a person is trying to uninstall starts running everytime the computer is fired on.

And you cannot uninstall and delete a software when it is running.

Hence RULE NO #1 before uninstalling any software - ours or any other company's - is to check if the software is running or not.

    1. The software could be running in a minimized state in the "Windows System Tray".
Windows System Tray is at the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen near the system clock. Sometimes the software is running but cannot be located even in the Windows System Tray.

    2. The way around this is to go to TASK MANAGER
Press CTRL+ALT+DELTE at once, this will take you to the Task Manager.

    3. In the Task Manager you need to go to the "PROCESSES" tab
In this Task Manager Processes Tab look for the software you want to uninstall.

    4. Then select / highlight the software by clicking on the software name

    5. Finally click on the "End Process" button
By clicking the "End Process" button you stop the software from running.

Going through the steps will KILL and STOP the software from running. And then you can follow the normal unistall procedure.

Unistall Option 1 - Recommended:
Uninstall from the Program Menu

Click on Start >> then go to "All Programs" Menu >> Look for the software you want to uninstall >> Go to the the software menu and look for Uninstall icon. >> Click the uninstall option and follow the uninstall instruction when uninstall screen starts.

Unistall Option 2:
Unistall from the Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs

Go to your Windows Control Panel >> look for "Add or Remove Programs" option >> Look for the software you want to uninstall >> Highlight / select the software by clicking on the name of the software >> The click the "Remove" button >> follow the uninstall instruction when uninstall screen starts.

Unistall Option 3:
Kill And Stop The software from Running - From Task Bar and then Uninstall from the Program Menu
Please Note: Use this method *only *if the above two methods do not work

As explained above due to various reasons such as the "RUN AT WINDOWS STARTUP" option (most common cause) the software keeps running and you cannot uninstall a program that is running. So please do the following:

This process has been mentioned in detail above
    1. The software could be running in a minimized state in the "Windows System Tray".
    2. The way around this is to go to TASK MANAGER
    3. In the Task Manager you need to go to the "PROCESSES" tab
    4. Then select / highlight the software by clicking on the software name
    5. Finally click on the "End Process" button

Going through the steps will KILL and STOP the software from running. And then you can follow the normal unistall procedure as mentioned in Option 1 (recommended) or Option 2.

Unistall Option 4 - Least recommended
Kill And Stop The software from Running - From Task Bar and then delete the software manually
Please Note: Use this method *only* if all other options fail - this is the least recommended option

We are assuming that you have gone though the three options mentioned above and failed? If yes, then try this...

As mentioned above going through these steps will KILL and STOP the software from running.

After completely exiting the program (by the killing and stopping the software) by the above method
====>>> Go directly to your C Drive (most common)
====>>> The open directory/folder called "Program Files"
====>>> Look for the folder with a similar name or the software you want to uninstall
====>>> After locating it simply delete the folder.

Note: Using this option will leave behind a few files like icons etc... but these files are totally harmless.
